Agra. City of Taj.

Agra is famous for three world heritage monuments like Tajmahal, Agra fort and Fatehpursikri. Apart of thses three monuments agra has so many other historical monuments like baby Taj, Sikandra, Raam Bagh, Swami Bagh, Chini ka roja etc

Agra is also famous for its Marble Inlay Art. the most exquisiteinlay appears in the cenotaphs and the surrounding screen in tajmahal is called marble inlay. One flower in the screen around the tomb contains a hundred stones, each cut to the exact shape necessary and in the interior there are several hundred flowers, each containing a similar number of stones.

Shahjahan's love for gems was legendry. He was using gems for decorative as well as healing purposes. To do this marble inlay the best artists & craftsman of the empire were recruited and the finest marble was used.

In all over the world Taj mahal is known for its magnificent white beauty  but it is not only one aspect of taj, it is also a perfect symmetrical monument.
Every thing we see in tajmahal has some meaning and expresses feelings and emotions.Although the garden of tajmahal we see today is not original as it was redesigned and laid by Britishers in 19th century. Britishers always tried to increase the beauty of Taj mahal during their Kingdom in India.
